Mary's birthday, 1963

I haven't located any good pix of Mom yet, most of my pix are still in Syracuse or in unpacked boxes. But here is a shot from my birthday in 1963 that shows Joseph, Margaret, Aunty Ann and Mary, and Tom ducking out of sight. I would have been turning 17 so Margaret would have been 38 and Joseph 47 and Ann around 50.Posted by Picasa

I have located many pictures where she was holding a hand in front of her face, or turning away from the camera. She was not the most cooperative subject for the photographer. Her and Graham, both. Have you told Graham how Margaret used the the same tricks? Or are you afraid that might encourage him?

Good grief, she was 38? 38 then looks different from 38 now. I love pictures of Aunty Ann when she was younger. So much pinauche!

And you! Strange. So young. Not very motherly looking. LOL

THis is one of the posts upon which I left a long comment that disappeared into cyberspace. Which makes me really nervouc to try again. Youngness has been expanding outward and pushing oldness back. It used to be that anyone over 30 was "OLD"--really!

I don't want to encourage Graham to continue to make picture taking difficult. I'd like him to be more cooperative for my own selfish reasons. However, if there is an approrpariate time, YOU can tell him about Grammy.

Aunty Ann definitely had a lot of flair.
