Algonac State Park

There are supposed to be rare and endangered plants and interesting habitats, but it took 3 hours of driving, cost $6 to get in, and wasn't very interesting in the winter. Not many woodlands are that exciting in the winter, but there are places closer that cost less where we can walk. Maybe we will go back and see what it's like in the spring, summer, and fall. That is one advantage of state parks around here: they are free during the off-season. Sorry for the disappointing visit, it does sound like somewhere you'd like come summertime.

Michigan is very backward in a number of ways. I miss NY parks and WEGMANS!
