Mary, you take the most haunting portraits -- take in the sense that they take you. The hat with its wandering white embroidery tracery, the coils of hair emerging richly, carelessly, the grey jacket, tight and loose at the same time, the relaxed, arched fingers, the hightech keyboard juxtaposed against the ancient, significance-laden, warming yet slightly threatening fire... That's one hell of a composition! What I want ti know is what you write in that hour of significances!!!! Love to the artist, the camper, the writer, the lover.... Pam

What a cute picture! I love this hat!
I got that hat when I went with Gail to California. You can reshape it for carious uses--sunshade, warmth.
