On New Year’s Eve, we celebrated Christmas with our New York family.
We started at home wrapping presents and preparing food; then met at 1:30 at Loretto to celebrate with Margaret, our mother and grandmother.
We had cookies, candy and orange juice, since it was right after lunch.
We spent most of the afternoon with Mom and then went to Sara for a mad frenzy of cooking, eating and gift opening.
It was lots of fun in spite of some delays and frustrations in the cooking department.
There was lots of hilarity.
Graham brought his new keyboard to both venues and played for us.
Graham also played chess with Erwin and Keith.
We had pork tenderloin, roasted root vegetables, squash, mushrooms, cranberry bread, apple-cranberry pie and date bars.
Sparkling grape and wine.
And probably lots of other things I’m forgetting.
