We went on our first long bike ride (we'd ridden the day before too,
to Belle Isle) out to Stoney creek where we saw skunk cabbages and
singing frogs and various birds. There was still a little snow.

A little triumph of sorts

Graham had his first day of track today.  Everyone else had their second day, but he had piano yesterday.  They had a 400 meter-race for the whole team and Graham came in third!  YAY!  And he has quite a bad cough and still did well.

The gift is bigger than the kid!

Sophia's First Birthday Party

Sophia, Nathaniel, Rachel, family, Keith and Sophia, Graham in the
gift box, ML with Nathaniel's elephant, ML and Rachel, Sophia with
gifts, Natalie, Jonathan, Ruby (Laura's sister), Mrs. Chen, Laura and
Ruby, Sophia, the goldfish. No one took one of me (well, maybe Keith
did on his camera, but I haven't seen it yet.) Natalie and Jonathan
are Ruby's children and cousins to our grandchildren and are at many
of the family gatherings. Jonathan is Graham's age (14).

What a drag it is getting old...

Sweet Punishment

The story behind this picture is that I was sitting on the couch, playing a game on my laptop while Erwin was cooking dinner. Rhea was being terribly bad, jumping onto the counter and trying to steal the food Erwin was cooking, so I scooped her up and stuffed her betweenst some layers. We rode our MOTORCYCLES out to Dodge Park (and it was NOT warm today!
bRRR!) I told Keith no more for a while for me. But we did enjoy our
walk!
