Recital

This is Graham's Class Recital, not the solo one, which is next week.

Here he is playing a solo and a duet with his good friend Jay.

He and they did an EXCELLENT JOB!!!!!

The pix aren't that great because G didn't want me to take pix but I
smuggled in a small camera in my "purse" (I never normally carry a
purse) and took them with no flash in rather dim light.

He never lets me take pix any more and I have sort of given up trying
most of the time. Graduation tonight--weird that they have it before
the end of school. He's got all As and Bs axcept 1 U in math! :-(

I can't really call it a nature journal, I suppose, since mostly I am
drawing PLANTED (alien, domestic) plants.

Self-portrait with haircut. I cut my hair today. I cut off more than
a foot which I will probably send to locks of love. However, I am
unemployed and they no longer provide mailing labels, so I may not.

One of these brais is from today and the other was cut when I was 14 years old.

We went on our first long bike ride (we'd ridden the day before too,
to Belle Isle) out to Stoney creek where we saw skunk cabbages and
singing frogs and various birds. There was still a little snow.

A little triumph of sorts

Graham had his first day of track today.  Everyone else had their second day, but he had piano yesterday.  They had a 400 meter-race for the whole team and Graham came in third!  YAY!  And he has quite a bad cough and still did well.

The gift is bigger than the kid!
